Second training for teachers in Sandanski, Bulgaria

In a scope of the implementation of the project “Efficient usage of solar energy for better future – SP FUTURE” the second training of the cross border teachers’ network was held in “Sveti Nikola” hotel, Sandanski, Republic of Bulgaria in the period of 24 - 27 June, where attended teachers of the schools “Sando Masev”, Strumica and “Anton Popov”, Petrich - members of the teachers’ network.

The purpose of the training was developing of Guide for teachers, which will be submitted to the local offices of the Ministry of education. On the training were presented the topics related with teaching about the environment and nature in primary schools. The teachers took part in group sessions that focused on the various section included in the Manual, to which they developed various interpretative models of environmental education. The programme continued with a study-visit at the Nature park “Belasica” as planned, where were presented a few successful projects in a field of energy efficiency and nature interpretation that has been already implemented.

The participants also experienced the nature interpretation while attending the route “The life of the acorn” at the Nature Park “Belasica”. The training finished with sessions of further edits of the Manual, summing up the results, discussion and outlining further steps for developing the network. Moderators of the training were: Simana Markovska – environmental education and nature interpretation expert from Bulgaria and Ljupcho Stojanovski – natural science expert form Macedonia.
